The way To Success

Big Journeys begins with small Steps

Technology

Technology is a body of knowledge devoted to creating tools, processing actions and the extracting of materials. The term ‘technology” is wide, and everyone has their way of understanding its meaning. We use technology to accomplish various tasks in our daily lives, in brief; we can describe technology as products and processes used to simplify our daily lives. We use technology to extend our abilities, making people the most crucial part of any technological system.

Active learning

Active learning is any approach to instruction in which all students are asked to engage in the learning process. Active learning stands in contrast to "traditional" modes of instruction in which students are passive recipients of knowledge from an expert.
Active learning can take many forms and be executed in any discipline. Commonly, students will engage in small or large activities centred around writing, talking, problem solving, or reflecting.

Education is the key for success

On any given school day, over 1 billion children around the world head to class.
More children and adolescents today are enrolled in pre-primary, primary and secondary education than ever before. Yet, for many of them, schooling does not lead to learning.
A lack of trained teachers, inadequate learning materials, makeshift classes and poor sanitation facilities make learning difficult for many children. Others come to school too hungry, sick or exhausted from work or household tasks to benefit from their lessons.
The consequences are grave: An estimated 617 million children and adolescents around the world are unable to reach minimum proficiency levels in reading and mathematics – even though two thirds of them are in school.
This learning crisis is the greatest global challenge to preparing children and adolescents for life, work and active citizenship.

Developing Social and Emotional Skills through Positive Relationships

The webinar that I have watched was called Developing Social and Emotional Skills through Positive Relationships. This webinar was presented by Venola Mason, she believes that every single student deserves to have a high quality education that give him opportunities to be successful in life.

In her presentation, she focused on understanding the practice of social and emotional learning, Venola considered 3 main ideas: First she defined the process which children and adults can understand and manage their emotions, set and achieve positive goals and show empathy for others. Second, she mentioned some tips to establish relationships with students, i liked the following three, incorporate humour into lessons, always have a positive attitude, and use students’ interests to your advantage. Finally, she mentioned some strategies to cultivate a sense of belonging within your classroom and among students like always encouraging students and motivate them.
